Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster. I have very fond memories of my aunt loaning me this book, and then she never saw it again because I loved it so much and absolutely had to keep it. #dealwithitaunty
Pick A Book That Represents A Destination You Would Like To Travel
Hate to be cliché, but Europe sounds really amazing right now. Maybe The Lightning Thief (PJ&O #1) because it has Grecian mythology? I’ve always loved Hermes, that wisecrack.
Pick A Book That Is Your Favorite Color
I’m a very neutral-dark person, with some spots of pink here and there, so my selection is obviously Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi (which I also have a review of). Have you seen how fricking gorgeous this cover is?
Which Book Do You Have The Fondest Memory Of?
A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. I was hooked on this 13-book series before even Harry Potter, and I grew up with it, and it’s just very ingrained in my memory.
Which Book Did You Have The Most Difficulty Reading?
Well, this may not be a popular choice, but I definitely would point to Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen in this case. It was my first Austen book, and I struggled with it for aaaaaaagesssss (no, seriously, at least a good three months). Now I love Jane Austen, but back then, I hated her books with a passion unheard of.
Which Book In Your TBR Pile Will Give You the Biggest Sense of Achievement?
Moby Dick. This book is literally going to be a whale, and I hope I can push through it, but books about ships and journeys… they just don’t click with me. And believe me, I’ve tried reading Kidnapped and Robinson Crusoe and The Count of Monte Cristo, and I didn’t enjoy any of them.

Have you read any of these books? Do you connect with any of them in special ways? And PLEASE tell me there’s someone else out there who used to struggle with Jane Austen! Her writing style is so complex for an amateur YA-reader like myself, but Mansfield Park is still one of my favorite books. Of all time. EVER.
That Peculiar Fangirl 
I tired to read Pride and Prejudice three or four times before I actually made it all the way through (and only then did I absolutely adore it). I wish I’d read Sense and Sensibility first, though!

Pride and Prejudice ties with Lady Susan (in front of S&S), but I haven’t read the others yet D: I started Mansfield Park was so bogged down with school that I didn’t have the time to dedicate to it that I wanted.

Oh, well you should definitely give Mansfield Park some time of it’s own to soak it all in. You will get so riled up, though! I think that’s one of the best things about it, the many emotions it’s stirred up in me over the past years.

Having an emotional connection with a book is SO important, in my opinion. If a book doesn’t elicit emotion, then I probably didn’t enjoy it that much.
